The site provides real, monthly measurements of energy, water, greenhouse gas and more for a real portfolio of over 50 commercial buildings in Sydney, Australia. Our blog features in-depth discussion about the impact of buildings and development on the environment and rich data visualisations for anyone in the world to investigate and comment on. The outside appearance of a building often gives very little indication of how well it operates. Environmentally friendly attributes may make a building better, and they may make it worse. The only reliable indication comes from real, measured data and unfortunately, this can be very hard to come by. By making more building performance data available we can transform how people engage with buildings. Their occupants will be better informed and their operators will be more appreciated and the environment will benefit.
