Among the many things we've learned from being part of the electric dialogue at The Energy Collective, two stand out. First, the technology and know-how to make our cities vastly more efficient and to reduce their energy and environmental footprints isn't the stuff of science fiction. It exists today. Our challenge is one of implementation, not invention.
Secondly, we realize that cities present a unique dilemma and at the same time, offer a unique opportunity. They are the labs where solutions can be tested on a vast scale, and the impact of success is multiplied many times over.
With this in mind, we wanted to create a community where urban policymakers, technologists and entrepreneurs could share their ideas across disciplines, build consensus, and drive solutions.
That community is here: the Sustainable Cities Collective.
