Trying to “walk the sustainability walk” is a pretty easy thing to do in San Francisco. A couple of friends of mine are already using CSA (Community Supported Agriculture), so I decided to give it a try.  The farm that I subscribed to is called Farm Fresh to You.

Signing up was an easy process on their website. Once you’re a member, you can choose from a large variety of pre-selected packages ranging from as little as $25 all the way up to $110. You can also easily set if you want food delivered weekly or bi-monthly.  Once you make these choices, they will let you know what day is available for delivery.  They will even let you make a key for them to drop off the groceries while you are at work!

I chose the “More Mixed” package which included a nice array of fruits and vegetables.

This is one model, which I’m pretty pleased with.  What other CSA models do those of you out there subscribe to, and how does it work?
